BWCAW Canoe camp is the place to both learn the basics and build on your skills. Campers spend time each day canoeing, camping, and learning other outdoor education skills while immersed in the BWCAW. Campers (9 -11 gr) will head into the BWCAW for a 3-night canoe trip. This camp will also provide leadership / outdoor development, opportunities for spiritual growth and teamwork.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Here it is - a program designed to teach what you need to know to fully enjoy your canoeing and camping experience in Minnesota's northwoods!
Each day while in the BWCAW campers will learn canoeing skills -the various paddle strokes, sterning, portaging, general care for a canoe. Campers also learn basic map reading and navigation skills. Overnight camping experiences during the week will teach campers how to set up a campsite and prepare your meals "on the trail", both over the fire and using a simple trail stove.
9 TH – 11 TH GRADE PROGRAM This program involves a three-night trip to the BWCAW with two of our staff, including a trained Canoe Country guide.
POSSIBLE DAILY SCHEDULE
Sunday: Arrive at Camp Vermilion for registration, dinner, and opening campfire. .
Days 2-3: Experience Voyageurs Canoe Country by paddling, portaging, fishing, swimming, camping and growing in Christ.
Thursday Return to Camp Vermilion for clean up and a sauna Dinner, campfire. Pickup at 11am Friday with closing program

Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry offers a wide variety of options for Senior High youth. Enjoy a more traditional week at camp or challenge yourself to try something new. Our programs provide you with opportunities for leadership development and adventure while also challenging you to live out your faith in the world. All of our programs will guide you in digging a little deeper into your faith and send you home with a renewed passion for your life of faith. Join us this summer!
Voyageur Family Camp is spending time together in the beauty of the north woods. Each day includes opportunities for worship and Bible study, as well as swimming, canoeing, creating, games, and simply spending time together as a family. Our hope is that your family will be renewed in your time at camp – as you share meals, worship, play and grow in your faith together.

A connection camp for youth with Type 1 Diabetes and their parents to fellowship together.
(Ages 9-14) Hockey Camp is a Camp Hiawatha tradition. For 40 years, players and coaches have been gathering to combine their love of hockey with the faith foundation that makes them good team players both on and off the ice. While we take our hockey seriously, we also take learning and growing as a community seriously.
A first taste of camp without spending the night. Discovers Day Camp runs from 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday for campers looking to discover camp and parents looking for a safe and fun day camp option for summer child care.

(Completed grades 2–4) This two-night program is another great way to introduce your child to an overnight experience without committing to a full week of camp.
(Completed grades 3–4) A week filled with the all the great things camp has to offer! New friendships are formed as campers play, sing, worship, and laugh together. It will be week of memories you won’t soon forget.
(Completed grades 5-6) A balance of familiar camp activities combined with new opportunities are what the Trekker program is all about. Mixed in with favorite camp activities - swimming, games, crafts, canoeing, campfire – are faith conversation that go a bit deeper and more challenging cooking and camping skills are tried.
Rendezvous is a fun, Christ-centered camp experience for campers with intellectual/developmental disabilities. It is three days packed with everything camp has to offer – games, swimming, worship, campfire, Bible study, creative arts, and the chance to make new friends with our staff and fellow campers!
