CONSERVANCY PLAN UPDATE

September 11th, 2020: VLM is still managing the camp under the Be Bold, Be Strong Conservancy Plan. We are hosting family and small group retreats and will be coming to the end of a contract with the US Forest Service who have been renting the Bakk House at Camp Vermilion. Until a vaccine comes around, our summer plans for 2021 include canoe Country Trips and half capacity in-camp programming. We expect to have registration information out in Early November.

Making the decision early has helped VLM stabilize our cash flow and put VLM into a position to make it through the summer with only temporary furloughs. Moving forward we will be continuing to implement the Be Bold, Be Strong plan and prepare to welcome kids safely for ministry as soon as possible.

We thank all of our churches and families who are supporting VLM and God’s mission at this time, and look forward to the new ways we will be doing ministry at Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion.
