GPS: Navigating Faith

“I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.”  Philippians 1:6

In today’s busy and changing world, we look to cell phones, computers, GPS, and other electronic devices to keep us on task and give us direction.  Our faith is the same – we need help navigating the questions, uncertainties, and challenges that a life of faith brings.  We also seek encouragement and help as we live out this life of faith and spread the Good News to others.

At Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion this summer, our staff will journey with the campers in discovering what it means to Belong; what do they Believe; what Hope does the resurrection story give us; how are we being Called to use our gifts to better God’s world; how do we Share our faith through our words and actions.  Together, cabin groups will navigate these questions, grow as a group and as individuals, and learn about themselves as they live in Grace, Praise our Creator, and Serve each other.

We look forward to having you join us as we continue our journey of living as Jesus’ followers in the world!

Summer Mission Project

As Christians we are called to live out our faith through word AND actions.  One way VLM invites campers to put their faith into action is by giving to our summer Mission Project.  The funds raised go to support various ministries, causes and needs both locally and globally.

This summer our Mission Project is focused on the NE MN Synod’s Companion synod in Russia.  The  money given by campers will used to support youth ministry and programs in the church in Russia.  We invite you to prayerfully consider how you can join us to help strengthen the work of the church around the world.
