VLM asks that all staff to come to staff training with CPR certification and Standard First Aid certification. You can pick this up on your own this Spring or attend a session (at your expense) right before staff training at our site. VLM also offers a lifeguard training course the week before staff training.
Our 2010 Bible study theme will be “ Keeping the Earth”
For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God. Romans 8:19
This summer staff, campers and volunteers will learn that “We testify to the hope that inspires and encourages us. We announce this hope to every people, and witness to the renewing work of the Spirit of God. We are to be a herald here and now to the new creation yet to come, a living model.” – Caring for Creation: Vision, Hope, and Justice (ELCA, 1993) Through small group Bible studies, worship, campfire, low ropes experiences, outdoor education and a variety of other daily opportunities we will listen, learn and grow in our faith! It is great to be alive in God’s great northwood’s!
I am thankful for your interest in being part of the VLM summer staff community. I look forward to hearing from you and receiving your application.
God’s Peace,
