Retreats

Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion are available to rent for retreats, reunions, meetings, continuing education classes, etc. Our programmed retreats are listed under Year Round Programs.

Camp Hiawatha

Housing - 129.
Retreat Center has 4 beds in 4 rooms & 5 beds in 1 room, with bathrooms in the building. Meeting space with a fireplace and a kitchenette are also located in the building.

Lindberg Dorm has 8 beds in each of the 4 rooms. Two double beds are available. Each room has a bathroom and shower. Holds 34 total.

Gloria Dei Dorm has 8 beds in each of the 6 rooms. Two double beds are available. Each room has a bathroom and shower. Holds 48 total.

Private Cabins have 8 beds in each of the 3 cabins and are near the seasonal bathhouse. Cabins hold 24 total.

Sauna, basketball, volleyball, swimming, fishing, canoeing, dock space available

Bring cross country skis, snowshoes, snow mobiles, and ice fishing gear to access great trails and fishing opportunities in the winter.

Camp Vermilion

Housing – 36 in winter and 209 in summer.
Bakk House Retreat Center has 36 beds with bathrooms and showers in the building.  Meeting space with a fireplace is also located in the building.  The in-house kitchen allows you to cook your own meals or have a VLM staff cook them for you.   (The bottom bunks have all received new, more comfortable mattresses in 2010!)

Priest House has 12 beds and a cozy meeting space with a wood stove.  Outhouse and sauna are nearby.

Lakeside Cabins have 18 beds with nearby outhouse and sauna.

Border Lakes and Tree Top Cabins have 11 beds each with nearby bathhouse and outhouses.

Travois Hill has 3 tent/trailer sites with electricity, water and nearby outhouse.
