Junior High Programs

Are you ready shake up to your traditional camping experience? Check out our options for Junior High campers! These programs will take what you love about camp and bring it to the next level. Depending on the program you choose, you’ll be stretched to try something new, experience creation in a new way and learn more about yourself and fellow campers. Our programs include daily opportunities for study, worship, campfire, games, swimming, creative arts and building new friendships. Explorers

(formerly Grades 7-9)

You and your 7-9 cabin mates will experience longer canoe excursions, camping out, team building and Grovers designed with you in mind. Our trained staff will also lead you through worship, Bible study, games and campfires which will enhance your experience and help you grow in your faith. It’s what you loved about your previous camp experiences, only with new challenges and opportunities to grow.

Confirmation Camp

Combine church and camp for a great faith experience. Each day includes a wide variety of camp activities, including swimming, Bible study, worship, team building, creative arts, campfires and more. You’ll also spend time each day with your Confirmation group and pastor or youth director – it’s an extension of your churches Confirmation program placed in the camp setting. You’ll get to know your Confirmation group better as well as meet new friends and cabin mates. It’s a week that is full of conversations and activities that will strengthen your faith.

Confirmation Camp is a partnership between your congregation and VLM so check with your pastor/youth director before signing up for this program.

Looking for a way to improve your skills on the ice, on the court or in the pool, while growing in your faith? Our sport focused programs have that and more. In addition to training time each day, campers will experience the games, worship, Bible study, campfires and friends that make Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion such great places. Experience team building, creation, Bible study and solitude in a whole new way! VLM has been offering canoe adventure in and around the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness for over 40 years.
