To Camp Vermilion from the south:

Hwy 53 North to Cook

Right (North) onto CR-24  and travel the 3 blocks through town.

Continue over the railroad tracks and travel 3 miles on CR-24.

Right onto # 78 at “Resort Directional” and travel 2.5 miles.

Left onto Luthey Road which is the 2nd possible left and has Camp Vermilion Sign.

1 mile on Luthey – left under camp Vermilion Archway  – 3/4 mile driveway

Summer Camper and Canoe Country check-in is usually in the parking lot.

To Camp Hiawatha from South:

Hwy 169 (or Hwy 2 from East) to Grand Rapids  (Camp Hiawatha is about 90 miles from Duluth)

Hwy 38 North out of Grand Rapids   – Travel 12.4 miles

Left (West) onto CR Rd 19 – Travel 2.3 miles

Camp is on the left.  Follow camp road through camp and turn left into the upper parking lot.  For those staying in the retreat center, continue to follow the road behind the small cabins and it will bring you to the Retreat Center parking lot.

Summer Camper check-in is in the canteen which is close to the parking lot.

To Camp Hiawatha from Deer River

Take Hwy 6 North out of Deer River and travel 4 miles.

Right onto CR 19 and travel 7 miles. The camp will be on the right.

Hwy 53 to Cook

Turn north onto CR-24  -  Travel the 3 blocks through town.

Continue over RR Tracks and turn right between the Baptist Church and the school parking lot

First green house set back on the left. Look for the Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry sign.
